Description
Specialist Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic 4 is an outpatient clinic within Northern Stockholm Psychiatry (NSP), centrally located at S:t Eriksplan. With us, a structured way of working is combined with flexibility, and the daily routine is characterized by humility, collaboration, and open dialogue.
The clinic has a general psychiatric core mandate and provides treatment through medication, psychoeducational interventions, occupational therapy, psychosocial work, and group therapies. A large proportion of our patients seek help regarding ADHD in combination with other psychiatric issues.
Approximately 25 engaged and experienced employees work with us, organized into two teams. The work group has broad and complementary competence including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, healthcare assistants, and medical secretaries. As a doctor, you will be one of six in a collegial and supportive environment.
The clinic regularly accepts residents (ST-doctors), both within psychiatry and those specializing in other fields. We place great importance on supervision, development, and a good working climate where knowledge is shared and utilized.
Responsibilities
As a specialist psychiatrist, you will meet patients for diagnostics, assessment, and treatment and have regular opportunities to consult with physician colleagues or other professional categories when cases require it. You have overall responsibility for the treatment of your patients in line with diagnosis-specific care processes. We place great importance on the introduction so that you feel secure enough to start working independently.
Participation in the clinic's ongoing quality and development work is a given. There is also an opportunity to step in and work within the clinic's inpatient care. Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in psychiatry. You have knowledge of and preferably experience with neuropsychiatric assessment, and you are interested in evaluation and evidence-based treatment.
Great importance is attached to personal suitability. You have good teamwork skills and enjoy working in a team. You are interested in working with the patient group. You are persistent, patient, and flexible, and can adapt your work to varying needs.
Good language and computer skills are a requirement.
Conditions
The position is a permanent full-time employment (40h/week). Start date according to agreement.
The position is filled subject to the condition that it is not needed for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Health Care Area (SLSO):
- a background check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's general instruction for background checks upon employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is done through the occupational health service before employment.
- in addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
