Do you want to use your competence as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist to strengthen people's opportunities to reach employment or education? In this role, you will assess work ability, identify adaptation needs, and support job seekers towards increased independence – in an operation where collaboration, quality, and professional treatment are central. Together, we get Sweden to work. Do you want to be one of us?

Unit's Mission

Together, we are approximately 130 employees in the Stockholm Southwest Unit. We work with four municipalities: Botkyrka, Salem, Södertälje, and Nykvarn. We have two placement locations: Hallunda and Södertälje. Work may occur throughout the unit. Our main mission is to prepare, match, and support job seekers on their way to work and/or studies, as well as support employers in finding labor, thereby contributing to the supply of competence in the county. Now we are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist/physiotherapist for work at the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen). The placement location is Hallunda.

Description of the Position

As an occupational therapist, you work on adapting work and study places with or without assistive devices. You also work to review and follow up on investigations from our suppliers, for example "Steps to Work" (Steg till arbete), and conduct activity-based assessments of work conditions and work ability for our customers. You contribute with your competence as part of the labor market policy assessment and as support to colleagues in daily work.

The work includes mapping work conditions, resources, and difficulties, providing support and guidance to job seekers, and collaborating with employers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to find sustainable solutions. Documentation of measures is a central part of the work, as is participating in and contributing to the unit's development work. You are expected to use digital tools and have an understanding of customer value, cost-effectiveness, and social benefit in the authority's mission. Work environment legislation is an important part of your daily work.

Your work as an occupational therapist/physiotherapist in collaboration with suppliers within the "Steps to Work" initiative involves reviewing documents submitted to the Swedish Public Employment Service. To succeed with this, you need to be familiar with the MOHO theory - Model of Human Occupation, as well as the instruments used for assessing work ability based on the theory. The Swedish Public Employment Service is undergoing digital development that permeates all parts of our work, which is why it is important that you have the ability to utilize digital tools. In accordance with our state mission, collaboration with independent actors is central and places special demands on you as an occupational therapist/physiotherapist with us.

Our Offer

The position is a permanent employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The placement location is Hallunda.

We offer you the opportunity to work in a workplace where we value work-life balance. You will have access to a generous holiday agreement, flexible working hours, and the possibility to work remotely. We also include wellness activities during working hours and a favorable wellness allowance.
