to apply for the job
At the System Division, you will work on the most exciting challenges of the power system – from the operational hour of today to planning 40 years into the future. The great complexity and development opportunities make our work both stimulating and meaningful. Here, you will gain a unique holistic perspective on the power system and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a secure, sustainable, and efficient electricity supply.
About the position
As a Junior Power System Specialist, you will become part of a team with broad areas of responsibility related to grid planning and business development. You will work in an environment with many cross-functional interfaces – both internally within Svenska kraftnät and externally with regional grid companies and other industry actors. An important part of the role is to contribute to the further development of tools and working methods that streamline our grid investigation work, as well as to support the section with various types of grid investigations when needed. The team also drives and coordinates work on grid development plans and future capacity forecasts for both load and production.
With us, you will partly shape your own development based on your interests, as the unit covers several different areas of responsibility. You will work closely with experienced specialists and gradually take on greater responsibility, with the ambition to eventually grow into a more independent project manager role. By working alongside senior colleagues, you will get a secure start and a steep learning curve. There is also an opportunity to engage in international cooperation forums and participate in internal cross-functional groups, providing broader perspectives and further development paths.
You will belong to the Grid Planning Development unit, which currently consists of 11 employees. The unit is responsible for Svenska kraftnät's grid development plan, administration and development of the grid planning manual, forecast collaboration, method development, and design criteria for grid planning. The unit is also responsible for the overall strategic design and dimensioning within grid planning.
