Job Description

We are looking for you to join AFRY and work primarily with our customers in the defense industry. The need for expertise in electronics is growing, and we need to expand our team.

Our customers are global players in high-tech defense and security operations, active in air, land, and naval defense, civil security, and commercial aviation technology. They offer their customers effective solutions for surveillance, security, and decision support, as well as for threat detection and protection. Technically, they are leaders in many areas, developing products and systems to deliver military capability, protect national security, and safeguard critical information and infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, it is important to be able to work in a structured manner and follow formal processes, as development is often safety-critical. You will be an important part of developing the customer's future products. In this role, you will also be involved in other parts of the development process, such as system engineering, requirements management, testing, and delivery.

Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Electronic design
• PCB layout
• Embedded design
• ASIC / FPGA design

In addition to an academic education, we require good English skills in both spoken and written form. Good Swedish skills are an asset. For this position, you must hold Swedish citizenship and be resident in Sweden.

Depending on your specific experience, we look for skills in one or more of the following:

• Digital design, but also analog design and RF are of interest, preferably with tools like Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro.
• IP design and verification.
• Signal and power integrity, simulations, EMC, and preferably tools like ADS, SIwave, HFSS, Hyperlynx.
• Hardware-close programming.
• Requirements management or system engineering.
• Wireless communication, high-speed links, or similar.
• Troubleshooting, board bring-up, and lab work.

Of course, we also place great importance on your personal attributes. As a consultant, it is important that you work independently and are used to taking your own initiatives. Since many assignments involve collaboration with both customers and colleagues, you should also have good social skills and enjoy working in a team.
