At AFRY Advanced Automation in Stockholm, we continue to grow – and now we want to become even bigger! We are specialists in industrial automation, delivering smart, tailor-made solutions to both private and public clients. Here, you will work on technology-intensive assignments that truly make a difference – for real.

Your Role – Where Ideas Become Reality
As an Automation Engineer with us, you will be a key player throughout the entire project journey: from the first sketch and system concept to final commissioning. You will work closely with our clients and help shape solutions that drive their operations forward.

Our assignments vary greatly – one day you might make minor programming changes or upgrades, and the next day you could be part of building entirely new factories or facilities from the ground up. It is this variety that makes the job both challenging and incredibly developmental.

You will work with, among other things:

• Programming within DCS, PLC, and SCADA
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving at a high technical level
• Documentation and quality assurance of your solutions
• Technical consulting and client dialogue, where you become the client's closest technical partner

You will work both at our clients' sites and in our own in-house projects – perfect for you who enjoy varying pace, environment, and tasks.

A Project We Are Especially Proud Of

Right now, we are helping to rebuild one of Stockholm's wastewater treatment plants into one of the most modern in the world. The new facility uses advanced membrane technology to increase capacity and meet future environmental requirements.

AFRY is responsible for all electrical engineering and automation – and around 25 employees from our Stockholm offices work dedicatedly on the project every day.

We have several similar projects underway and are therefore looking for a Senior Automation Engineer who wants to drive the work forward, with a location in Solna or Södertälje.

Qualifications

Since you will be working on finding solutions to advanced problems, we look for someone who enjoys problem-solving. Beyond this, you are interested in developing yourself and helping to develop your colleagues and clients. It is important that you enjoy your work, so we place great emphasis on your personal attributes. To thrive with us, we believe you are flexible and have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. You also have:

• Relevant education in the field or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in engineering projects for new process plants.
• Many years of experience as an Automation Engineer and good knowledge of working with Siemens software, specifically SIMATIC PCS 7, is highly advantageous. Experience with other DCS/PLC/SCADA systems is also relevant and interesting for the role.
• A valid driver's license (Class B) as travel is a natural part of your role.
• Good skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
