We are seeking an Archive Assistant for Södertörn District Court
We are looking for an Archive Assistant for a fixed-term position until the turn of the year for the Registration and Archive Unit. The unit is responsible for handling and registering cases and matters received by the court, archiving, issues regarding the release of documents, etc. The unit employs 12 staff members.
Job Responsibilities
As an Archive Assistant, you will be offered a varied and developmental role within the Registration and Archive Unit. The work primarily involves receiving and responding to external and internal inquiries and providing the District Court's public documents in concluded cases and matters. Inquiries are received mostly via telephone and email.
Other ongoing tasks include organizing and listing, weeding, and preparing judgments and decisions for binding. Ensuring the authority's archival competence and providing information, files, and advice to the authority's staff are other tasks that occur in the work. Other tasks performed in the unit, such as registration and classification of new cases, may also be relevant. You will work both independently and together with other colleagues in the unit.
Qualification Requirements
- We are looking for someone with a completed university or college education of at least 60 credits in archival science and current experience working within the Swedish courts. You must also have:
- Current experience in the release of public documents.
- Practical experience in archival care and organizing and listing archives with IT support.
- Experience in service through work within archives, as the role involves many external and internal contacts.
- Furthermore, you should be a proficient computer user with experience working with various IT systems.
- Additionally, it is an asset if you have insight into the District Court's working methods and routines.
The position requires you to be quality-conscious, orderly, and meticulous while having the ability to work efficiently and increase the pace of work without compromising quality. You have a pronounced sense of service and can plan and prioritize within your area of responsibility. You build good relationships with colleagues and contribute your competence to the unit's and the District Court's joint work. You also have good communication skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.

About the Workplace
Södertörn District Court is one of the country's largest district courts, with over 250 employees. Our judicial district covers the municipalities of Botkyrka, Haninge, Huddinge, and Nynäshamn, as well as Söderort within the Stockholm municipality. The court handles a large number of criminal cases, civil cases, and court matters. The court has six adjudicating divisions, an administrative division, and a staff unit. We work in modern premises in Flemingsberg, Huddinge, near the commuter train station.
