I am a 43-year-old man with a high spinal cord injury. This means I am paralyzed from the neck down and require ventilator support for breathing. I have a tracheostomy and receive my medication and fluids via PEG. I communicate through head nods/shakes, facial expressions, or by speaking with Leakspeech. I also use an eye-controlled computer with text-to-speech functionality, and I have a fiancée who can interpret for me.

I am looking for a wonderful team of assistants to help me with my daily tasks, personal hygiene, and rehabilitation exercises. I have double assistance coverage 24/7.

I live with my fiancée and our American Bulldog, so you cannot be allergic to pets or afraid of dogs.

I am looking for someone with a big heart, education in healthcare and social services, who is stress-resistant and, most importantly, has a sense of humor. A good laugh prolongs life! You should have some experience under your belt and not be afraid to take initiative.

Working as a personal assistant for me involves significant responsibility – medically, physically, and socially. To ensure we both feel safe, a criminal record check will be required prior to employment.

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at SAAND Assistans is that you can present a valid ID and any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a criminal record check for all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18. To ensure the safety of our clients at SAAND Assistans, we obtain criminal record checks for all employees we hire. Therefore, you will need to present a criminal record check from the police prior to any potential employment.
