We are now looking for an engaged support educator for our LSS group home.
Our operations are aimed at adults with disabilities who need support in their daily lives to live a safe and meaningful life.
Here we work with individualized support, recovery, participation, and structure in everyday life. We believe that every individual has resources and opportunities – our task is to create conditions for these to come forward.
Your future tasks
As a support educator, you are part of the everyday work at the unit and work closely with the users together with other staff. You have an educational assignment directed both directly at the users and at your colleagues. The assignment involves overall responsibility for maintaining and developing quality and a holistic view in the work with the users.
Your tasks may include:
- Providing support in daily routines such as meals, personal care, social activities, and contact with community agencies.
- Working based on implementation plans and documenting in accordance with applicable routines.
- Creating a safe and predictable environment with structure and responses tailored to the individual's needs.
- Promoting recovery, participation, and independence among the residents.
- Collaborating with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals.
Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends depending on the schedule.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a trained support educator or has another equivalent education in care and nursing.
- Has experience working in psychiatry, social psychiatry, or LSS.
- Has knowledge of how to respond to and support people with mental disabilities.
- Is secure, empathetic, and has a good ability to create trusting relationships. Has good collaboration skills but can also work independently.
- Has good computer skills and can express themselves well in spoken and written Swedish.
A driving license (B) is an advantage.
