Women's Clinic at Linköping University Hospital

The Women's Clinic at Linköping University Hospital (US) in collaboration with the hospital in Motala (LiM), works with all branches of women's healthcare; all forms of gynecological outpatient and inpatient care with a focus on highly specialized care, cancer surgery, infertility treatments, and all types of obstetrics where maternal care is organized within the clinic.

The Women's Clinic, with approximately 300 employees, serves patients in need of advanced women's healthcare from the entire Southeast healthcare region.

Job Description

Our operations consist of maternal healthcare, obstetric and gynecological inpatient care, and gynecological outpatient services. You will primarily work with pregnant women in women's health and with abortion patients at the gynecological unit. The work is very flexible depending on patient influx. Your tasks consist of shorter support contacts and crisis intervention, primarily with women, but also with couples. You will have scheduled outpatient visits but also urgent crisis support conversations related to delivery, maternity ward, and gynecological inpatient care. The work is highly varied and independent with a wide range of diagnoses and ages among the patients.

The paramedical group currently consists of two healthcare counselors, two psychologists, and three physiotherapists. You will work closely with your nearest colleagues and are offered external supervision.

About You

For the position, it is required that you are a licensed healthcare counselor or a trained social worker with experience that the employer deems equivalent. As a person, you are structured, stable, and adaptable to different situations, as well as easy to collaborate with. Personal maturity and flexibility are other qualities we highly value. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is essential as you will have a lot of contact with patients, relatives, and healthcare partners, as well as document in our digital journal system. We expect you to have a positive and professional approach in your work, where patient care is the focus.
