Do you want to work with us?
Welcome to the Employment Unit in Finspång Municipality.
We are now making an investment based on upcoming activity requirements and expanding our operations with a supervisor.
The Employment Unit in Finspång Municipality actively works to strengthen individuals in need of various interventions and support with the aim of achieving/approaching self-sufficiency through work and/or studies. At the Employment Unit, AME, these interventions are directed towards practical work training and internships in combination with theoretical interventions and support regarding job seeking. The Craft Group at AME primarily works with various carpentry and craft assignments.
The work is conducted with a focus on personal development through step transitions towards work and self-sufficiency. The focus of the operations is to engage individuals in activities that are needs- and individually tailored. We place great importance on the social and motivational aspects together with practical craft tasks.
A planning is established for each individual. When the right experiences and competencies have been achieved, the individual is channeled further into the labor market.
Your future tasks
As a supervisor in the craft group, you will support and motivate participants with close and practical guidance in the various work tasks. It is important that you guide and provide instructions in a pedagogical manner tailored to the participants' needs. You will identify the participants' needs, support them in activities, and motivate them towards step transitions to self-sufficiency. Together with participants, you will create an implementation plan with clear goals that are regularly followed up together with social workers who formulate the assignments you work on.
The tasks involve various carpentry and craft assignments in collaboration with different units within the municipality, such as the municipality's property department, schools, preschools, and housing. As a supervisor, you will accompany a group of participants on various assignments. This can range from carpentry, simpler painting work to assembly and moving tasks.
You need to be flexible and comfortable with shifting focus, as well as being able to take your own initiatives and make independent decisions. You are creative, engaged, and driven. You will be part of a small work group where you work closely together, and good collaboration skills are required as good cooperation is important for the development and quality of the operations. In the Craft Group, in addition to participants, there is a work leader. In weekly method meetings, we support and strengthen each other in work methods and case management.
