Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who still has a childlike spirit and enjoys being active and coming up with activities. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, chemistry, and teamwork. You are a wonderful and child-loving person who is also comfortable working independently. You need to have patience to wait for the client's signals. Since the client does not have verbal speech, it is also important that you are attentive and aware of his needs and general well-being by interpreting his body language and sounds.

Your workplace is where the client is, primarily in his home in Linköping. You will also accompany him on leisure activities and outings. The job may involve traveling with the client and his family.

Requirements:

I am a 13-year-old boy living with my mom, dad, and younger sibling. During the day I go to school, but in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends, I need assistance. As an assistant, I want you to enjoy being active, being outdoors, and also playing and having fun. I like when things happen, so it’s good if you are creative and can come up with activities and new ideas. I also want you to be positive and help me learn things. With me, it’s usually full speed, and I love jumping on trampolines, swimming, listening to music, swinging, playing with my sibling, and taking short walks in the woods and the local area.

I have cognitive disabilities, autism, and ADHD, which means I do not speak with words and need help with all daily life activities as well as interaction and communication. I can walk but sometimes need support to get around, and when I need to travel longer distances, I use a wheelchair. Sometimes I can be extra playful and active, and then I run, so you need to be quite fast to keep up and ensure I don’t expose myself to dangers. I also need a lot of active help with eating, going to the toilet/changing diapers, hygiene, dressing, and playing.

Working hours and employment rate:

Schedule 60-100%, as long as the assignment lasts (if you want to combine with another job you can). The weekly schedule is afternoons/evenings and weekends (daytime). During school breaks, working hours may be scheduled for daytime on weekdays instead.

Salary: Fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other compensations according to collective agreement.

Criminal record extract:

An extract from the criminal record is required because the boy is a minor. According to law (2010:479), if a background check of personnel who will perform certain services for children with disabilities is required, we as employers must request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. The extract must be submitted to us as employers before starting employment.
