The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) clinic is part of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic in Linköping, providing qualified assessment and treatment for children aged 0–18. Core activities include outpatient, intermediate, and inpatient care, as well as several specialized units such as the trauma clinic Elefanten, the parent-infant unit Hagadal, the KIM clinic, and Barnahus.

Job Description

The BUP clinic consists of several interdisciplinary teams, one of which is responsible for new visits and assessments, while the other four work with assessment and treatment for children, young people, and families in need of specialist psychiatric care. All teams have high competence in their respective fields and enjoy great exchange and support from each other in daily work. At the clinic, we work according to national guidelines and proven experience.

You will belong to one of the clinic's teams, and your tasks will include a range of activities such as psychological treatment, telephone counseling, collaboration, and active participation in some of the many group interventions we offer our patients and their relatives.

The tasks also include close collaboration with neighboring healthcare providers and other societal actors. We also expect you to be an engaged participant in the knowledge and method development work actively carried out at the clinic.

About You

A degree in Social Work or equivalent deemed suitable by the employer. Psychotherapeutic further education corresponding to at least step 1. Experience of treatment work with children, young people, and their families is an asset. We place great importance on personal maturity and suitability.

Working at the BUP clinic requires personal maturity. You need to be able to work independently with patients and guardians, which in specialist psychiatry implies a need for security in your professional role as well as the ability to be flexible. The work is varied and includes both planned and urgent interventions. Since we work in interdisciplinary teams, the job also requires good ability to collaborate and communicate. Planning and evaluation of ongoing interventions are a fundamental part of the daily work, which requires the ability to structure, for example, documentation.
