Coach Collaboration Team Avesta

Job Responsibilities

Do you want to make a real difference for people who are far from the labor market? As a coach with us in the Collaboration Team Avesta, you will have a meaningful, developmental, and varied job where you work together with the individual to create hope for the future, strengthen resources, and find sustainable paths forward. We continuously develop our workplace and working methods to meet emerging needs. Naturally, your tasks include actively participating in our development work, both internally and externally, to best create conditions for those who need coordinated support from us.

Collaboration Team Avesta is a jointly owned activity within the Southern Dalarna Coordination Association, with partners including: Avesta Municipality, Region Dalarna, the Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). You will be employed by Avesta Municipality and belong to the Labor Market Unit.

As a coach, you will be part of a team that jointly drives and develops an activity where the individual's needs and opportunities are at the center. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in the team, staff in other municipal activities, other owner partners (Region Dalarna, the Public Employment Service, and the Social Insurance Agency), as well as employers and other contacts significant to the individual.

In this role, you will, among other things:

  • Work together with the participant to identify goals, resources, and strengths.
  • Support and coach participants through a solution-focused approach and a motivating working method.
  • Coordinate and follow up on work training placements within both private and municipal activities.
  • Lead group activities and facilitate various types of group interventions.
  • Host study visits to inform potential new participants and referrers about the activity.
  • Schedule and conduct study visits at workplaces.
  • Conduct individual conversations focusing on the path to work or studies.
  • Contribute to activity development together with colleagues.

This is a role for you who enjoy having many contact points, are motivated by seeing people grow, and want to contribute to developing the activity's work forward. We expect you to have a strong interest in working with people who are far from the labor market. You will receive continuous supervision and training based on a solution-focused perspective.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A relevant university education, such as behavioral science, social work, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of coaching participants.
  • A B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with the Office package.

Education in solution-focused working methods and experience of coaching and motivating work based on a solution-focused approach are meritorious.

You are a secure and insightful person who can distinguish between the professional and the personal. You work independently, take responsibility, and drive your tasks forward in a structured manner. You adapt easily to changes and see opportunities in new situations. In meetings with others, you are social, relationship-building, and enjoy building and maintaining contacts. At the same time, you have a calm and service-oriented approach and always strive to coach the participant to find their own solution.

Do you recognize yourself in the description and want to contribute to strengthening people on their path to the labor market? Then we hope you will submit your application. We look forward to hearing from you!
