Job Description

As a Vehicle Tester for our client in Eskilstuna, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of passenger cars to ensure functionality, safety, and quality prior to delivery or following repairs. You will work in a workshop environment alongside technicians and administrative staff, where accuracy, clear documentation, and problem-solving are central. The role involves both practical test drives, diagnostics, and verification of completed actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct test drives and functional tests according to checklists and routines.
• Perform diagnostics using diagnostic tools and read error codes.
• Inspect brakes, steering, lighting, tires, electronics, and other safety-critical components.
• Document test results in the workshop system and report deviations or the need for further action.
• Collaborate with technicians to reproduce faults, suggest remedies, and verify completed repairs.
• Ensure order and safety in the work area and follow the company's routines for working environment and environmental management.

Qualifications

• Education in vehicle technology or equivalent practical experience from a workshop is an asset.
• Experience in troubleshooting or vehicle testing is desirable.
• Good computer skills for documentation in administrative systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Meticulous, safety-conscious, and solution-focused with good teamwork skills.
• Driver's license B (manual transmission).
