Your Responsibilities

The position is located within the Procurement Unit at the Finance Department, responsible for the authority's procurement and purchasing matters. You will join a team of other procurement officers working in close collaboration with other parts of the organization.

The Procurement Unit leads, coordinates, and develops the Swedish Prosecution Authority's purchasing and procurement operations. The unit is tasked with conducting various purchases and tenders, enabling efficient procurement, managing contracts, assisting in review processes and disputes, and providing the authority with qualified advice on matters concerning procurement, purchasing, and contracts.

As a Procurement Lawyer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the contractual, procurement legal, and procurement technical aspects of the execution of tenders
  • Responsible for managing and developing the unit's templates from a procurement legal perspective
  • Handling reviews and contract disputes
  • Preparing legal investigations related to, for example, the application of exemption provisions and assisting in consultation responses
  • Conducting tenders within the framework of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) in consultation with the internal organization
  • Executing call-offs and purchases for the authority's needs
  • Managing and following up on signed contracts
  • Providing qualified support and advice to the operations on procurement matters

You will have many contacts both within and outside the authority.

Your Qualities and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A law degree (Juristexamen)
  • Notarial service or at least two years of full-time experience working as a public procurement officer or procurement lawyer
  • Good knowledge of laws and regulations governing public procurement
  • Experience in conducting tenders
  • Experience in handling varied assignments
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an asset if you have experience handling a review process, either as a case handler at a court or as legal counsel.

About the Employment

The employment is permanent with a probation period of 6 months.

Tests may occur during the recruitment process.

The position is classified as security-sensitive; therefore, a security clearance with a registry check will be conducted.
