Studiefrämjandet is a non-partisan and non-religious adult education association conducting popular education activities throughout Sweden. We are a democratically governed non-profit organization founded by 19 member organizations operating within our profile areas of nature, animals, environment, and culture. Every year, we organize thousands of study circles in collaboration with groups and associations. We strive to encourage more people to engage in social life and contribute to democratic renewal and sustainable development.

We are now looking for a colleague to create popular education activities in collaboration with our member organizations, associations, and partners.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe position of Popular Education Developer involves nurturing established collaborations, creating new meeting places, and developing our activities within culture, nature, and the environment. The work consists of a combination of external contacts and administration.
In this role, you will among other things:- Initiate and develop popular education activities
- Coordinate and administer study circles
- Engage and train circle leaders and associations
- Organize, arrange, and participate in various types of events and gatherings
- Develop and maintain collaborations with municipalities, organizations, and associations
- Work with administration and partial budget responsibility
You have two years of post-secondary education in social sciences, behavioral sciences, pedagogy, humanities, or similar, as well as at least two years of relevant work experience. Experience from adult education associations/popular education, civil society/non-profit sector, or other association activities is an asset. It is an advantage if you have an established network within culture/nature/environment and the association life in Halmstad and its surrounding area.
You have strong social engagement and are a skilled coordinator. You possess very good knowledge in administration, computer literacy, and digital meeting tools, as well as basic knowledge in financial management. We also require good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working with social media platforms, creating short films, or similar is an asset.
As a person, you are structured, pedagogical, and have the ability to independently initiate, plan, drive, and complete your activities. You have good collaboration skills and are skilled at creating and maintaining relationships, as well as the ability to lead and support groups in their learning, and lead simpler processes.
Naturally, you also share our vision that all people should have the knowledge, strength, and space to participate in the development of a sustainable and democratic society.
About the PositionThe position is a full-time employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Start date as soon as possible by mutual agreement. The position applies goal-oriented working hours with an average of 37.5 hours/week. Parts of the work may take place in the evenings and occasionally on weekends.
Employment is based on the collective agreement "White-collar employees in civil society". We apply individual and differentiated salary setting.
The location for the position is Halmstad. Travel within the region may occur. A driver's license and access to a personal car are an asset.
