Job Description

As a service technician for our client in Strängnäs, you will work with service, maintenance, and repair of passenger cars to ensure functionality, safety, and high quality. You will work in a workshop environment alongside colleagues and administrative staff where accuracy, clear documentation, and problem-solving are central. The role includes troubleshooting, service actions, component replacements, test drives, and verification of completed actions as well as customer contact when needed.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, and repairs according to manufacturer instructions and workshop routines

• Conduct diagnostics using diagnostic tools, read fault codes, and suggest appropriate actions

• Replace components and troubleshoot engine, brakes, steering, suspension, and vehicle electronics

• Perform test drives and function tests to verify that work has been correctly completed

• Document completed work in the workshop system and report deviations or need for further actions

• Collaborate with colleagues to plan workflows, prioritize tasks, and ensure delivery times

• Ensure order and safety in the work area and follow routines for work environment and environmental management

Qualifications

• Education in automotive mechanics or equivalent practical experience from a workshop is an advantage

• Experience in service, troubleshooting, and repair of passenger cars is desirable

• Good familiarity with diagnostic tools and electronic control systems

• Good computer skills for documentation in administrative systems

• Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both spoken and written

• Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and solution-focused with good teamwork skills

• Driver's license B (manual) is required
