At the Rehabilitation and Support Unit, there are occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and nursing assistants. We belong to the area of outpatient clinics and rehabilitation, working within the hospital's acute and medical services as well as in the orthopedic department. Our goal within the unit is to provide employees with the opportunity to develop themselves, and we have the privilege of applying for funds through the Kockska Foundation to attend training/courses. We have a good collaboration throughout the unit, where we help and support each other when needed. To maintain good cohesion and enjoyment in the unit, our party committee regularly organizes pleasant after-work events.
The hospital in Trelleborg, with its approximately 600 employees, is the personal hospital with great opportunities. We provide specialized basic healthcare for a catchment area of 100,000 inhabitants. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
At Day Rehab, you will meet patients who have suffered from strokes, MS, Parkinson's, ALS, or other neurological diseases/conditions. You work person-centered with the patient and set goals together with the patient that you help them achieve through training and strategies.
The job responsibilities include, among other things, taking medical history, assessing activity ability, hand function, cognition, and need for assistive devices, as well as training. In addition, documentation in the journal system, administrative tasks such as planning and coordinating patient visits, and general logistics to ensure the daily work runs smoothly are required. The work at Day Rehab is performed in a team together with physiotherapists, rehab nursing assistants, social workers, and medical secretaries. Collaboration with other team members around the patient is a large and important part of the work.

The advertisement refers to a temporary position starting as soon as possible after agreement and lasting until August 2027. There are great opportunities for extension.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. Furthermore, a B driver's license is required. Basic computer skills and experience with the journal system Melior are desirable. Experience in neurology is an advantage.
The work is both team-based and independent, which requires you to have good collaboration skills as well as the ability to structure and plan your days. We also see that you are responsible, flexible, and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances. Creativity and initiative are assets as rehabilitation must occur according to the patient's needs and situation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
