The field of pulmonology belongs to the Heart and Lung Medicine area. Within this area, there are lung departments and highly specialized outpatient teams located in Malmö and Lund. At the Lung Clinic bronchoscopy in Lund, we work in teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, medical secretaries, contact nurses, and social workers together for good lung cancer care.

We are a highly specialized unit where patients come to be investigated for various lung diseases, but the main focus is on lung cancer investigation. In our flow, the patient starts with a doctor and contact nurse and then moves on to the investigation part where bronchoscopy is performed. Our unit is under constant development with a wonderful forward momentum where the patient's well-being is always in focus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome a nurse with great commitment to our wonderful team at the Lung Clinic bronchoscopy!

In your role as a nurse with us, you will have a workday with varied and stimulating tasks at a changing pace. You will work in a team with friendly and engaged colleagues where you together provide the patient with a safe examination and care. The work includes assisting in high-tech diagnostics. Furthermore, pre- and post-operative care of patients who have undergone bronchoscopy, EBUS, and endobronchial interventions under anesthesia is included. We also perform pleural tapings and drain insertions.

We are a highly specialized operation which provides good development opportunities for our employees. To further develop within our area, we have regular internal training with both external and internal speakers. You are also warmly welcome to shadow other operations.

This advertisement refers to a day position, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work on lung department 1 in Lund may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. If you have previous experience as a nurse, preferably within endoscopy and/or lung care/lung surgery, it is meritorious.

You are confident in your professional role, flexible, and have a good ability to work independently.
