The Memory Disorders Unit (VE) is a specialist operation that offers investigation and treatment of acquired cognitive impairment in both older and younger individuals. The unit has a well-developed outpatient care system that includes both clinic activities and a mobile outpatient team. There is also a unit for clinical drug trials. The internationally renowned research conducted here has a strong clinical connection and permeates the entire operation. We work in close collaboration with primary care, municipalities, and other specialist units within Skåne University Hospital (Sus) as well as with other memory clinics in the region.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone interested in both clinic work and mobile team activities. You appreciate working in collaboration with both doctors and other professional categories and see the added value this brings to both the operation and the patient.

At our specialist clinic, we conduct investigations, diagnostics, and treatment of individuals with acquired cognitive impairment. We work with structured follow-ups and evidence-based methods. Thanks to the clinic's close collaboration with our clinical research unit, the care of patients is continuously developed. At the clinic, we prioritize a team approach around the patient to optimize both care and internal knowledge exchange. We also provide training for future doctors and doctors in specialist training, both through practical supervision and theoretical teaching.

Our mobile team is multiprofessional and performs patient visits at home or in special accommodations. The majority of cases involve BPSD issues, but some investigation and diagnostics are also conducted. We also have a consultancy service towards both other specialist care and primary care. QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare and have:

• specialist competence in psychiatry, neurology, or geriatrics
• language skills in Swedish at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale
• completed or planned course in clinical supervision
• full-time service of at least three years (documented effective time)
• clinical skill and independence within the main specialty beyond the obtained specialist competence
• documented teaching and supervision merits.

Disputation and/or specialist examination can be credited for a total of up to six months of clinical service.

Interest and experience in working with memory disorders are highly meritorious. Previous work within the unit with placement at our clinic and mobile team, as well as participation in teaching students, is particularly meritorious. As a person, you have a positive attitude and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and other professional categories. Your ability to identify areas for development is strong, and you are interested in developing the operation together with us. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. You may have acquired this through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application the pedagogical courses you have completed or planned, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
