JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to be part of a developing team where we aim to equip the organization for future challenges by actively monitoring the environment and developing our skills? We are looking for a new colleague to join our wonderful team within support functions and social psychiatry.

As an occupational therapist within LSS and social psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing services to care recipients in LSS group homes, LSS service apartments, and individuals within LSS and social psychiatry in regular housing in Hörby Municipality. You will also be responsible for services related to daily activities.

The work includes assessing activity ability, providing treatment/training in the care recipients' homes, prescribing aids, and supervising staff. The care recipients are aged 18 and above with varying disabilities. Collaboration occurs in teams with other professionals such as physiotherapists, nurses, support pedagogues, support assistants, and housing support workers, as well as unit managers. You will also work closely with case managers within both LSS and social psychiatry and have an important role in decision-making and designing interventions. Collaboration with external care providers such as outpatient psychiatry and adult habilitation is also part of the job.

Once a month, we meet with our occupational therapist and physiotherapist colleagues within elderly care for MAR meetings. In addition to these meetings, we regularly gather to discuss common issues and benefit from each other's expertise. We have a good atmosphere and an open working climate in our group.

We are connected to the Assistive Technology Center of Eastern Skåne (HÖS) from which we order aids for our care recipients. HÖS offers excellent training opportunities for us as prescribers and has skilled assistive technology technicians and consultants to turn to.

It is a fun and varied job with a good opportunity to plan your own time. We have a great strength in being three in our profession as we can discuss and learn from each other. Occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses within support functions/social psychiatry work closely together in an office setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist.

You are easy to collaborate with and can take initiative effortlessly. You communicate well and take responsibility for your work. It is important to us that you have a respectful and positive attitude - with a focus on the care recipient's needs.

Experience in similar work is advantageous.

The position requires a valid B driver's license.
