Welcome to our wonderful team! We are looking for nursing colleagues who want to work with us in the urology and vascular surgery department during the summer. The surgical area includes the urology and vascular surgery department. The department conducts both acute and elective activities. We treat patients both pre- and postoperatively as well as for surgical and urological conditions and vascular diseases. Within the organization, we perform advanced procedures such as robotic surgery, vascular surgery on the abdominal aorta, transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TUR-B), and transurethral resection of prostate (TUR-P).

The daily work is carried out in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. Here we actively work with educational initiatives regarding patient safety, improvement work, and development for our staff. We have a secure, stable workforce with a high level of competence, and we benefit from each other's knowledge.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of nurse, you will work with both acute and elective care. Your tasks include, among other things, urological and surgical day care, angiographies, assisting in cystoscopies, and other surgical examinations. You will plan, prepare, and treat patients for surgery. In addition to direct patient work, you will be involved with other staff in the development and improvement of care, with the goal of always focusing on the patient's needs.

You have the opportunity to combine work on the ward with specialist training in both urology and surgery. As part of the competency development work in our department, we offer lectures every other week from both internal and external parties based on our employees' wishes.

If you are new to the profession, you will have the opportunity to participate in our clinical foundation year - an exciting introduction program for new nurses. The positions are summer vacancies with the possibility of extension; there are day and evening shifts, but there is also the possibility to work only nights.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Your language skills in Swedish correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale. Experience working in a surgical department and knowledge of healthcare administrative systems are advantageous for the position.

As a person, you are good at organizing your workday and prioritizing in acute situations. In your work, you are meticulous, secure, and stable, and you consider patients based on their different needs. It is important that you have a professional attitude towards both patients and relatives, and that you have a genuine interest in people. We want you, just like us, to value a job characterized by personal responsibility, participation, and good collaboration between colleagues and the immediate supervisor. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
