Material Maintenance Section

The Material Maintenance Section is part of the Logistics Unit at the Air Defense Regiment, Lv 6. At the Material Maintenance Section, maintenance is performed on the Armed Forces' ground material at Halmstad Garrison. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, operational support, and material investigation. It is carried out both in workshop environments and in field environments.

Transport Group

In addition, a larger component of transport and logistics services will characterize the operations at the section. This is in line with the garrison's and logistics unit's increasing need to manage the large amount of material available locally, as well as to provide transport capacity in connection with exercises and operations.

In the summer of 2026, a transport group will be possible to staff at the Material Maintenance Section, where the main focus will be to support other actors at the unit with the transport of material, supplies, and vehicle systems. The group is expected to solve tasks independently, efficiently, and primarily using its own resources to shorten lead times.

Main Responsibilities

The transport group will consist of several GSS/K who will work both as vehicle drivers and as mechanics. To varying degrees, you will solve tasks in the different areas, depending on the flow of incoming tasks. For several weeks, you will work as a mechanic where you troubleshoot, repair, and maintain vehicle systems or communication equipment in a workshop environment. Other weeks you will work as a truck driver and solve transport tasks for some actor.

In addition, you will also carry out activities aimed at maintaining your general soldier skills.

The position places high demands on good technical understanding, initiative, collaboration skills, and a service-oriented attitude.

TekA Muhs is currently seeking personnel for the following positions:

  • Armored All-Terrain Vehicle Mechanic Driver

  • Electrical Mechanic Driver
  • Towing Soldier Driver

Qualifications

Approved military basic training in technical service or logistics with a focus on transport or supply management.

Training on AK5.

Driving license B.

Approved high school education preferably in technology, transport, or alternatively another direction, education/work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Meritorious

Competence in the sought position, competence in technical service in the Armed Forces.

Military driving licenses in various categories for trucks, trailers, wheel loaders, forklifts, minibuses, etc.

C / CE driving license.

Platoon or group leader trained in the Armed Forces.

The employment form for continuously employed group leaders or soldiers (GSS/K) has a duration of eight years with the possibility of extension for another four years, totaling 12 years. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period during which physical requirements and requirements for a B driving license will be set for continued employment.

Preliminary start for employment 2026-07-01 or according to individual agreement.
