Air Defense Battalion is Hiring Group Leaders and Soldiers

The Air Defense Battalion manages the combat units 61st and 62nd Air Defense Battalions and is now seeking continuously employed group leaders and soldiers.

The Air Defense Battalion is in a significant growth period as we have recently introduced the Air Defense System 103/PATRIOT with supporting units. As a continuously employed GSS, you will be placed in the Air Defense Battalion's 103rd Company, which manages functions within air defense, command, communication, logistics (supply/maintenance), technology, and ground combat.

The company consists of a combat control platoon, a launcher platoon, and a headquarters and supply platoon. During field deployment, these platoons are combined into a battery (fire unit). During garrison duty, the platoons primarily train individually within their respective functions.

COMBAT CONTROL PLATOON 103

The Combat Control Platoon 103 is divided into six groups; two combat control groups, two radar groups, and two radio link groups.

The primary task of the combat control platoon is to engage various types of aerial threats. The platoon consists of approximately 40 personnel, including radar soldiers, communication assistants, radio link soldiers, engagement operators, and engagement commanders. The radar soldiers' task is to operate and maintain the radar to ensure it can function in the required environments and situations. The communication assistants support the engagement operators and commanders with communication equipment and reporting to higher command. The engagement operators and commanders monitor the airspace and lead the air battle. The radio link groups set up and operate communication links between fire units and higher command.
