The Air Defense Battalion is Hiring Group Leaders and Soldiers

The Air Defense Battalion manages the combat units 61st and 62nd Air Defense Battalions and is now continuously seeking employed group leaders and soldiers.

The Air Defense Battalion is in a significant growth period as we introduce the Air Defense System 103/PATRIOT with supporting units. As a continuously employed GSS in the Air Defense Battalion, you will be placed in one of the companies that manage functions within air defense, command, communication, logistics (supply/maintenance), technology, and ground combat.

AIR DEFENSE SECURITY PLATOON

In the Air Defense Security Platoon, we work on tasks aimed at detecting, locating, and countering security threats. The platoon does this by utilizing autonomous patrols that operate over large areas. We train, exercise, and are prepared to carry out operations both nationally and internationally. The platoon consists of four security patrols. Each security patrol consists of a patrol leader, deputy patrol leader, driver/support shooter, sharp shooter, CLS, MRPAS operator, and a dog handler.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

We are currently seeking soldiers for the following positions:

• Security Soldier
• Dog Handler

As a security soldier in the air defense security platoon, you will be part of a patrol and hold one of the patrol's primary positions such as: patrol leader, deputy patrol leader, combat medic, sharp shooter, vehicle driver/support shooter, MRPAS operator, or dog handler. As an employee, you will be offered the opportunity to develop into other positions within the patrol as needed. The patrol addresses tasks aimed at detecting, locating, identifying, and combating security threats. This is done through reconnaissance and establishing surveillance for various assets. Information is gathered through reconnaissance, patrolling, and collaboration with other units/agencies. With a wide range of functions, sensors, and methods, the air defense security platoon combats security threats.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completed military basic training with passing grades
• Approved physical requirements (12.00 field test and 300 points multi-test), these will be conducted during the interview.

PREFERABLE

• Previous service as GSS/K
• Driver's license for light or heavy personnel carrier
• Approved training as combat medic
• Work within security and intelligence units
• Work within ranger units
• Other relevant experiences in line with the platoon's positions.

The employment form for continuously employed group leaders or soldiers (GSS/K) lasts for eight years with the possibility of extension for another four years, totaling 12 years. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period during which physical requirements and a B driver's license will be required for continued employment.

Preliminary start for employment is 2026-07-01 or according to individual agreement.
