The Air Defense Battalion is Hiring Group Leaders and Soldiers
The Air Defense Battalion manages the combat units 61st and 62nd Air Defense Battalions and is now continuously seeking employed group leaders and soldiers.
The Air Defense Battalion is in a significant growth phase as we introduce the Air Defense System 103/PATRIOT with supporting units.
As a continuously employed GSS in the Air Defense Battalion, you will be placed in one of the companies that manage functions within air defense, command, communication, logistics (supply/maintenance), technology, and ground combat.
98-PLATOON
At 98-platoon, the main task is combat against aerial targets, currently with Intelligence Unit 23 and Missile System 98. However, the Air Defense Regiment is expanding, and new air defense systems are being acquired for the platoon, including radar PS923 and PM24.
We locate, establish tracking, and operate against aerial vehicles. We are prepared to carry out tasks throughout the country under varying conditions, year-round. This places high demands on professionalism, responsibility, and the pursuit of continuous development together with the group. By continuously training and practicing combat against aerial targets, ground combat, and system-specific skills, we contribute to the unit achieving effectiveness.

We are currently seeking soldiers and group leaders for the following positions:
- Air Defense Soldier
- Air Defense Soldier (Radar Operator)
- Air Defense Soldier Driver (GW)
- Air Defense Soldier (Combat Medic CLS)
- Air Defense Soldier All-Terrain Vehicle Driver (Bv410)
- Air Defense Soldier Combat Commander 98
- Radio Link Soldier
- Group Leader Radar
- Group Leader 98
- Group Leader Radio Link
- System Mechanic
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed military basic training with passing grades
PREFERABLE
- Category B driver's license
- Completed position training for the relevant service
- Previous service as GSS/K
- FM driver's license for one or more of the following vehicles: TGB 30/40, MAN X45, MAN HX, Bv410, or GW

The employment form for continuously employed group leaders or soldiers (GSS/K) has a duration of eight years with the possibility of extension for another four years, totaling 12 years. The employment begins with a six-month probation period during which physical requirements and the requirement for a Category B driver's license will be assessed for continued employment.
Preliminary start date for employment is 2026-07-01 or by individual agreement.
