Air Defense Regiment Lv6

The Air Defense Regiment Lv6 is part of the army and operates from the ground – but with the air as its main working area. Airspace monitoring is conducted using radar and in collaboration with air combat forces. The task of the Air Defense Regiment is to monitor and protect the airspace from threats both nationally and internationally.

The regiment is also responsible for developing air defense within the Armed Forces. This can involve everything from developing combat tactics to participating in the work of developing new equipment. Right now, the Swedish air defense is undergoing significant, positive, and expansive changes as the Air Defense System 103 (Patriot) becomes operational and the unit grows.

Recruiting Unit

The Military Police Section is responsible for order and security within Halmstad Garrison, which consists of the Air Defense Regiment, the Military Academy, and the Armed Forces Technical School. The variety of tasks you are expected to solve during a work shift together with your supervisor and colleagues is vast, which means we place high demands on the individual.

Main Responsibilities

The tasks for a Military Police officer include crime prevention work, order and security, as well as traffic monitoring, etc. The duties also include intervening against and reporting security-threatening activities. Physical training is one of your job responsibilities, and you must annually meet the requirements according to FM FySs. You will also maintain your knowledge regarding law, close combat, and weapon handling through planned further education and training controls. The work also involves collaboration with the police and other authorities.

Salary is linked to responsibility and your job duties. Variable allowances in the form of on-call, OB, ÖD, and readiness will be provided according to the applicable collective agreement.

Working Hours

The base will be daytime Monday to Friday, but depending on the assignment, working hours may vary between weekends, evenings, nights, and ÖD.

REQUIREMENTS

• Approved military police training or approved police training
• B driver's license
• Completed military basic training (GU, GMU, conscription)
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Trained on Pistol 88, blocks A and B
• Trained on AK5C
• Trained on OC
• Expandable baton
• Approved military security guard training
• Experience in guard and surveillance service
• Valid security guard certificate
• Military driver's license Minibus/Lptgb

Personal Qualities

The work as a military police officer places high demands on responsibility, orderliness, initiative, and legal knowledge. We are looking for someone with a high security awareness, as you will come into contact with places, people, and activities that are surrounded by confidentiality during your service. You are unpretentious, calm, and self-aware, with a good ability to quickly adjust your pace.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment Type: Fixed-term, the Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period

GSS/K Position: Fixed-term employment for a maximum of 8 years with the possibility of extension.
