Air Defense Battalion is Hiring Staff Assistant

The Air Defense Battalion is now continuously hiring staff assistants to work in the battalion staff.

Main Responsibilities

As a staff assistant in a battalion staff, you are expected to support and solve a wide variety of tasks. This includes placing orders, assisting with order production and order issuance, as well as some administration in the Armed Forces' IT systems. Serving as a staff assistant or commander during exercises and operations is also a recurring element.

Qualifications

• Completed and approved military basic training
• Driving license B (manual transmission)

Desirable Qualifications

• Position training for staff assistant
• Military driving licenses - minibus, passenger car/light truck
• Security guard certificate
• Signal protection qualifications: MAAI, MGSI, MGFI, MGL, and MFG/A
• Previous or current employment as GSS/K
• Experience with the Armed Forces' IT systems PRIO, VIDAR, and Emilia
• Other relevant training for the position

Employment Type: The employment begins with a six-month probationary period during which physical requirements and the requirement for a B driving license will be assessed for continued employment, followed by a fixed-term employment as GSS/K according to the law on certain Armed Forces employments.

The Air Defense operates on the ground and is part of the army, but often collaborates with the Air Force. The Air Defense monitors the airspace with mobile sensors (such as radar), detects threats, and protects important objects and operations from airborne attacks through missile combat. The two air defense battalions that are part of the operational defense are trained and kept on standby by the Air Defense Regiment.
