Mathematics Teacher at Innovitaskolan St Jörgen for grades 7–9
Join us in developing the school together in collaboration with students, colleagues, and the principal.
Innovitaskolan St Jörgen is a K–9 school with approximately 560 students. The school has two parallel classes in lower and middle school, as well as three parallel classes in upper school. The school's organization is based on teams per grade level, where teachers in upper school collectively take responsibility for all students in the team. The student health team works closely with the teams with a clear focus on preventive and promoting measures.
Our mission is to create a safe and developing educational environment that provides each student with the best possible conditions for success – today and in the future.
Your Mission
We are now looking for an experienced mathematics teacher with another subject for a permanent position at 100%. In the role of teacher, you will have mentorship alongside a colleague for one of the 7th graders in the team. You will collaborate with the team regarding all students in grade 7. Therefore, it is beneficial to have another subject that fits within the team.
We work to develop a relational perspective on students, and we place great importance on that competence.
We integrate support into our organization in the form of half-class lessons and sometimes two teachers in the classroom. This requires a great deal of responsibility from the teachers to plan together to utilize the support so that students can achieve as much as possible.
We have team meetings and subject conferences. At the subject conferences, we analyze and develop our teaching and plan together to create the most enjoyable and varied teaching possible.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is a qualified mathematics teacher with many years of experience working in schools. You have a good understanding of the school's governing documents and systematic quality work.
You have a clear student focus and see preventive and promoting work as a strategic and natural part of the school's development. You work analytically, are structured, and proactive in development processes within subject teams and work teams.
We Offer
As an employee at Innovitaskolan St Jörgen, you become part of AcadeMedia – the largest educational company in the Nordics. This gives you access to continuous professional development through AcadeMedia Academy as well as good opportunities for internal and external professional development.
