Lerum Municipality is known for its scenic locations with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Lerum is only a 20-minute commute from Gothenburg and is currently facing a development-intensive period with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality works to ensure good service, high welfare, and a flourishing business climate.
Recently, Dagens Samhälle awarded Lerum as the winner in the category of metropolitan municipalities (2025) - an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as education, healthcare, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business, and future factors like digitalization and civil preparedness. We are now a Super Municipality!
Lindénska School is Lerum Municipality's resource school for students with AST. Approximately 25 students are enrolled in three grade levels: lower, middle, and upper secondary school. The school is located in two separate buildings close to Stenkulans School. The workplace is organized into three teams. Each team consists of teachers and resource educators. The teams work closely with the school's student health team, which includes a special educator, counselor, school nurse, career counselor, and school psychologist.
Mission Statement
Lindénska School aims to provide students with the conditions to achieve the goals set in the curriculum. All staff at the school participate in this work, and the students' learning is the focus of all efforts made at the school. Our students should be active in their learning process. Being willing to try and learn from mistakes also constitutes learning. We want students to take initiative, try different ways of learning, and express their own opinions in ways they feel comfortable with. The goal is for learning to occur in a social context, both analog and/or digital.
At Lindénska School, the goal is also to create opportunities for learning that better equip students for life's opportunities and challenges. This requires all staff to work towards developing clear leadership and an inclusive approach. All teaching should, as far as possible, take place in groups, and only in exceptional cases should teaching occur separately from this. If this happens, the goal is to create a situation as soon as possible where the student's need for a socially accessible learning environment is met.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work as a teacher in Swedish and English and be a mentor for a small group of students in grades 4-9, placed in the 7-9 team. Your task is to teach the students in the group and also be responsible for their learning environment. As a teacher, you will also work together with other staff who are familiar with the activities and teaching that will be conducted during the school day. Therefore, you are expected to be a skilled and unpretentious team player who always prioritizes the student's best interests. Lindénska Resource School is for students in grades 1-9 and has 25 student places.
