At the Culture School in Tranemo, we work in a creative and pleasant environment with a wide range of courses in music, dance, theater, visual arts, and game development for children and young people. Each year, we conduct several cultural events, and in close collaboration with primary schools, youth centers, and local cultural actors, we work to provide children and young people with opportunities to engage with and develop through culture.

Our guitar courses are held both in our facilities in Tranemo and at the municipality's primary schools and high school.

The Culture School in Tranemo is part of the unit Young in Tranemo, which includes Youth Centers and the Culture School.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a guitar teacher, you will teach children and young people up to 19 years old, both in groups and individually, and lead pop-rock groups/ensembles. The position also includes teaching at the high school level in the course Individual Choice Music.

Teaching primarily takes place during the day and evening, and some weekend work may occur. You will also participate in trial activities and open events.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a music pedagogical university education or other education that can be deemed equivalent, and who can teach both acoustic and electric guitar.

• meet each student based on their individual needs
• create learning environments that allow for both safety and artistic challenge
• capable of planning and prioritizing in your daily work

Working with us requires good collaboration skills and a willingness to work across subjects, as well as the ability to both lead projects and contribute to the overall development of the organization. It is an advantage if you have skills in a secondary instrument, such as cello.

A valid B driver's license is required for the position.
