At Munkegärdeskolan, all our 411 students are at the center.

We work based on the municipality's guiding principles: courage, respect, and co-creation. We strive for a good working climate that stimulates students' motivation, responsibility, and desire to learn.

Our school is a grades 7-9 school with a staff group of about 45 personnel. We have a complete student health team consisting of school management, special educator, counselor, school nurse, and school psychologist. The school's career counselor works closely with the student health team and provides students with guidance for future choices. Our students should be given opportunities to develop their best selves and gain good knowledge to feel secure about the future. One of our focus areas is teaching quality, which we work on through clearer systematization and analysis of teaching based on scientific grounds and proven experience. We systematically work to ensure that working teams collaborate on mentorship, planning, assessment, evaluation, and analysis of results as our central parts.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to work and teach our students at Munkegärdeskolan in grades 7-9. We seek a teacher in social studies and English who has good knowledge in your subjects and focuses on democratic values, student participation, and influence. We are looking for someone with great commitment, a positive attitude, and who enjoys engaging and listening to students, finding different solutions to individual needs while also adapting to the group's possibilities and conditions. We live in a dynamic world, and we strive for flexibility and a solution-oriented approach. We work towards a non-prestigious workplace culture where we help each other, and the goal is that every student leaving Munkegärdeskolan should have a solid foundation for continued learning and a good life.

Formative assessment, evaluation, and feedback to students are natural parts of your teaching. You ensure that students feel a high level of participation and have real influence in your teaching. Through a conscious and cooperative approach, you create safety, trust, and good relationships among our students. You are well aware of how your actions affect your surroundings.

Your work includes teaching English and all social studies subjects, shared mentorship for a class, and active participation in both working and subject teams.

Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach social studies and English for grades 7-9.

You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and values that permeate your daily work.

Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for all our students throughout their school day. You are accustomed to planning and engaging students in teaching to create participation. Based on evidence-based research, you are interested in developing your teaching and being proactive in the research and development work that the school has started and is working on.

You are a person who is good at collaborating and finding solutions but also takes great personal responsibility. If you have just completed your teacher training, we offer guidance and mentorship from teachers at the school.
