Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include teaching, supervision, and examination as well as course administration within courses and programs at undergraduate and advanced levels, primarily in health and care administration and public administration. Teaching in other programs, including commissioned education, at the Academy of Health, Work and Welfare may also occur, as well as teaching in other programs at the University of Borås. Much of the teaching is conducted remotely within the institution's programs.
The position also includes time for research and professional development equivalent to 20 percent. You are expected to be part of one or more research groups and thereby actively contribute to the academy's research environment, which also includes strengthening the research connection in the programs offered.
Your Qualifications
To be eligible for the position, you need to have a doctoral degree in public administration or another social science subject relevant to public administration. In addition, demonstrated pedagogical skills, the ability to communicate clearly, good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing, as well as documented administrative skills and leadership ability are required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability for the position, which is demonstrated through your good ability to collaborate and your ability to work independently.
Meritorious:
- Documented experience in teaching focusing on management, governance, and organization within welfare, health, and care.
- Documented experience in research focusing on management, governance, and organization within welfare, health, and care.
- Documented experience of participation in research projects.
- Documented experience of leadership roles in research.
- Documented research funding obtained.
- Documented experience of leadership roles or positions within public administration.
A general eligibility requirement for permanent employment as a teacher is completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 10 weeks of full-time studies, or equivalent competence. An employee lacking higher education pedagogical training must complete the training within the first two years of employment.

Employment type: Permanent position. A six-month probationary period may apply.

At the Department of Work and Welfare, there are educational programs in health and care administration, public administration, and work science, as well as independent courses at undergraduate and advanced levels in social work, work science, law, sociology, public administration, and health and care administration. The environment is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach. Within the department, there are currently three established research groups: Work & Welfare - Sustainable governance, organization, and management in welfare, SOLWE, Work and welfare in transformation, and Prehospital work, PreHospen. There are also subgroups around public administration and navigating care. Research and development are also conducted at the Center for Welfare Studies, CVS, and FoU Sjuhärad Welfare.
