Teaching Assistants Wanted at Torslandaskolan

Job Responsibilities

As a teaching assistant at Torslandaskolan, you will have a unique opportunity to be part of an inspiring and developing environment where you make a difference in students' lives every day. You will work alongside teachers and other staff, both during school hours and in after-school care, to support and motivate students in their learning and personal development.

In your role as a teaching assistant, you will:

• Work closely with students and colleagues to create a safe, engaging, and developing school environment.
• Assist with adaptations and support needed for students to achieve their goals.
• Support students with various needs and adapt pedagogical methods to promote their learning.
• Participate in planning and implementing activities and teaching that stimulate students' interest and curiosity.

You will become part of a dedicated team where you can share your ideas and experiences. Together, we create a learning and inclusive school where all students can grow and reach their full potential.

Qualifications

Formal Requirements

We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education. You should also have at least 6 months of experience in an adapted primary school.

It is an advantage to have:

• Experience working with students with neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities
• Experience working with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)
• Experience with Low-Arousal Approach
• Experience in physical care or self-care
