We are now a Super Municipality!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a substitute preschool teacher for our preschool in Stenkullen, Åkerslätt. The preschool started its operations on May 2, 2017, and is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. The preschool has modern facilities tailored to our educational focus, with five age-divided departments spread over two floors. In Åkerslätt, we also have a department that is open around the clock. Adjacent to the preschool, we have beautiful natural areas and Stenkullen's recreational facilities. The indoor and outdoor environments inspire play, movement, and health. The youngest children have their own outdoor yard and learning environment. With us, children develop a foundation in natural sciences with an extra focus on health and can use up to a hundred different forms of expression.

At Stenkulans preschools, we work based on a common approach that stems from our defined view of children:

"We start from the premise that children are competent knowledge bearers and knowledge creators. Children and educators learn with and from each other, side by side. Everyone has the right to feel successful based on their abilities. Differences enrich. One is not, but becomes, based on the context one is in."

We are now looking for a preschool teacher who, together with the team and other educators, will be responsible for the preschool's mission, which includes learning, development, and care. The position may be extended.

We are looking for someone who is attracted to new working methods and challenges and has a passionate interest in working inspired by Reggio Emilia. If you are drawn to developing the educational environment and following the children's development as they transition departments with increasing age and take on new challenges, this means you will follow the children from their introduction to their transition to school. Then you might be the preschool teacher for us.

We hope you:

  • are interested in pedagogical development
  • can contribute your experiences from previous work with children
  • have a well-considered view of your role as an educator and your view of the child and their learning
  • can show both warmth and set boundaries
  • have good insight into the preschool curriculum
  • are flexible and have strong social skills
  • are driven and love challenges

We offer you:

  • A dynamic environment where imagination and creativity are given ample space.
  • A workplace where children and educators feel a desire to learn, are involved, and have their skills placed in context.
  • Good development opportunities in the work.
  • Support from a special educator
  • Free pedagogical meals
  • Work clothes
  • Wellness allowance
