Would you like to work as a leisure teacher at a school with 45 students in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg? We warmly welcome your application!

Brännö School is a school with approximately 45 students located in scenic surroundings.

It is a school in the village where students attend preschool class up to grade 3. Our outdoor environment allows for variation in teaching, where we can reach students in different ways. We work to ensure that it is a school for everyone, creating a safe and stimulating environment.

In our school area, we have four schools that work together for the best interests of the students: Asperö School, Brännö School, Donsö School, and Styrsö School. We collaborate for good collegial exchange and increased quality. Once a week, students travel to Styrsö School for craft lessons. The collaboration between the schools is important so that students feel comfortable switching environments and getting to know the staff. Since the 23/24 school year, we have been working with the PALS school model in the southern archipelago schools.

Our goal is to shape schools and leisure centers based on the conditions of small-scale operations, providing children with the best opportunities to engage with the world!

Responsibilities

We are a school with dedicated educators who all work to provide all children and young people with security, joy in work, and good knowledge and skills for further studies. You are not alone in the complex task that teaching entails; you have strong support from colleagues, special educators, management, and the student health team.

Your main task is to ensure that the leisure center operates according to the curriculum, together with the other staff. At the leisure center, you are responsible for ensuring that the education is varied in both guided and free activities, and that different materials and learning environments are offered and used to stimulate students' desire to play and learn. You contribute to promoting students' social development while practically working to help them achieve knowledge goals. As a leisure teacher with us, you will collaborate with guardians, work teams, and other school staff, as well as student health. You will also be involved in developing collaboration with other schools in the archipelago.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed leisure teacher. It is an advantage if you have a focus on sports, music, or art.

You have the ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and fostering understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

In these small units, we work closely together, and you easily adapt your work style based on changing conditions and new information. You can quickly change your perspective and approach, seeing opportunities in changes.

You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in meetings. You have an open and positive attitude, with the user's/customer's needs as the starting point for your actions.
