JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Trädgårdsstadens School is growing! In the autumn of 2026, we will have over 490 students from preschool class to grade 6, along with an after-school program. The school is located in a newly built area and was completed in the autumn of 2018. Our large schoolyard offers many different activities year-round.

Cooperative learning is an important part of our focus in both school and after-school. We are also a cooperative organization that expects engagement and a willingness from every employee to be co-creators in the systematic quality work at the school. Does this sound interesting? At Trädgårdsstadens School, collegial collaboration is important and naturally integrated into our organization. Our idea is that you, as a mentor, are part of a team where you collectively take responsibility for the students in the grade. We care for each other and work together towards our common goals.

As a teacher in the after-school program, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on a pedagogical activity based on governing documents and the students' needs. You create a safe and stimulating environment where students have the opportunity to develop social, creative, and practical skills. The role includes organizing activities both indoors and outdoors, as well as adapting the activities based on different ages and conditions.

You collaborate closely with colleagues in the team and participate in joint planning, development work, and meetings. The work also involves building good relationships with students and guardians, as well as contributing to the school's value-based work. Documentation and follow-up of students' development is a natural part of the assignment, as well as participating in projects and initiatives that strengthen the quality and equity of the after-school program.

To start working in preschool, school, after-school, and other educational activities, you must present an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and is ordered from the National Police Board www.polisen.se.
