Mimers Hus Gymnasium is an attractive upper secondary school located in central Kungälv.

Currently, about 1600 students attend the school, distributed across 11 national programs, including vocational, academic preparatory, and introductory programs. The school employs approximately 180 staff members, characterized by high engagement and competence. Our goal and focus are for everyone to succeed. The school offers sports profiles and entrepreneurship programs in several subjects. We have high expectations of our students and their ability to develop.

As a teacher at Mimers Hus, you plan, implement, and follow up on the teaching. You create a teaching situation characterized by safety and trust. You are accustomed to assessing and evaluating different teaching strategies and adapting the instruction based on the student group you encounter.

At Mimers Hus Gymnasium, we work both in teams and subject groups. Collaboration and collegial learning are a natural part of the assignment. We want you to contribute to development, work digitally, and see a culture of sharing as a given.

Responsibilities

As a teacher in the Sales and Service Program, you are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing the teaching. The position includes program-specific subjects such as Trade & Sustainable Development, Purchasing and Sales & Customer Service, as well as Entrepreneurship among others. The vocational courses in the program are distributed according to the teachers' qualifications and experiences, so depending on what you bring, the position may change. Some courses may also be offered in the school's IM program. You will be part of an engaged staff group and have your team affiliation in the Sales and Service Program.

In addition to teaching, you are also responsible for APL procurement and follow-up, as well as mentoring for a grade. As a mentor, you have an overarching role in following your mentees' knowledge development and study situation during their three years in the program. This is an important part of the job and requires commitment and responsibility.

In summary, we are looking for a certified vocational teacher with experience in the sales and service industry who is engaged and responsible. You should have good knowledge in the various areas and be willing to constantly develop and improve your teaching. As a mentor, you need to be communicative and have a good ability to create a positive learning environment for your students.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a vocational teacher's degree for the Sales and Service Program (formerly the Trade Program).

You have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, external partners, and colleagues. You can meet students in complicated learning situations, have clear leadership in the classroom, are accustomed to working with adaptations and alternative learning tools, and can build on students' strengths. You are used to working as a mentor and collaborating with the student health team regarding both students and your own teaching.

You have experience and interest in school development and collegial learning, see collaboration and cooperation as natural starting points in working with students, but you are also used to working independently. You are familiar with and knowledgeable about the curriculum for upper secondary schools.

Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.
