Educator for the After-School Program at Grangärdets School

Grangärdets School is located in a pleasant area close to both the school forest and the center with a library and swimming pool. We are a school for grades F-6 and we have two after-school program departments with a total of 150 students.

The after-school program is the heart of the school where students from different classes meet and are welcomed into a high-quality environment. In the Bofinken department, our 6-year-olds from preschool and grade 1 attend, while in the Tranan department, children from grade 2 and up are enrolled. We are now looking for an educator for these departments who wants to be part of our students' development and our good collegial collaboration.

Are you passionate about the mission of the after-school program and have a good ability to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues? Then we have the position for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of a team for the after-school departments, and your task will be to plan, implement, and follow up on the work that takes place during the students' time in the after-school program.

In the after-school program, you will stimulate students' development and learning and offer them a meaningful leisure time. This is done by starting from the students' needs, interests, and experiences, but also by continuously challenging them further by inspiring new discoveries. In your teaching, you will provide a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments that integrate care and learning.

The after-school program's activities complement the school, and teaching is planned based on a theme that extends over time and is adjusted according to the students' interests and development. Routines and structures are an important part and benefit our approach to create predictability and security for the children.

The team develops together through discussions and professional development; we take advantage of our differences and complement each other. With us, positive educators work together to ensure the best for the children and their entire school day. We care for each other and our work environment, and we strive and laugh together!

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must be a qualified teacher in after-school programs or have graduated from the previous after-school educator training.

As a person, you are secure and inspiring and have the ability to create good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You thrive in a pedagogical role and understand that everyone has different conditions and learns in different ways. In your work, we hope you are creative and willing to try new paths to meet students' needs and interests.

We see you as an engaged team player with a strong drive to develop the after-school program's work based on governing documents and conditions. It is important for us that you have a good sense of humor and find it easy to collaborate - this contributes to us having fun together!

Since we use digital tools in our daily work, we expect you to have good digital competence. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
