About the job

The group home has 6 residents and the service home has 9 residents with varying disabilities of different ages.

You will work during the day, evenings, and on-call overnight. There will be solo work.

Our goal is for the users, based on their individual conditions and abilities, to have a safe and meaningful existence.

As a support assistant, you should have an approach and response that provides individually tailored support in daily living, which means that interventions should meet the individual's psychological, physical, and social needs, thereby reducing the individual's disability in relation to environment/obstacles/responses.

This recruitment concerns two permanent positions and one temporary position.

Job responsibilities

  • The work involves providing individually tailored support in a safe and stimulating environment based on each person's individual needs.
  • Support in contacts with daily activities, family, friends, as well as encouraging and supporting leisure activities.
  • The work includes care, ADL, and healthcare tasks delegated by a nurse and other licensed personnel.
  • Documentation and all household tasks such as assistance with cleaning, laundry, shopping, and cooking are also included in the job responsibilities.

You will be part of a team with close cooperation with other support assistants, support pedagogues, and activity pedagogues.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. Sees relationships in their correct perspective, distinguishes between the personal and professional. Responds in a way that is adapted to the situation.
  • Can easily adapt to changing circumstances. Can quickly change their perspective and approach. Sees opportunities in changes.
  • Works well with other people. Relates to them in a responsive and flexible way. Listens, communicates, and resolves conflicts constructively.
  • Has the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings. It is important to also work in a low-arousal manner.

You also work well with complex issues. Analyzes and breaks down problems into their components and solves complicated problems.

Qualifications

  • You have a care and nursing education with a focus on disabilities, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • You master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
  • Have a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have actively worked with digital platforms or have experience in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry.

Employment occurs under the condition that necessary decisions are made. For positions where the work involves direct and regular contact with children and young people, as well as for operations within LSS, care and nursing, health care, psychiatric care, and addiction care, a valid extract from the police's criminal record must be presented or submitted before employment.
