About the Workplace

Orrekullen is a group home where 6 individuals of various ages reside. The tenants live in their own apartments, which you as staff often use as a base. On weekdays, most tenants are at their workplaces. The target group includes individuals with autism, Down syndrome, and early developmental levels.

Job Responsibilities

Primarily, we are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant/support assistant, and secondarily, we are open to candidates who have not yet completed their training but are willing to do so and are otherwise suitable for work in healthcare.

The tasks are varied and tailored to each individual's needs, resources, and conditions. Your work will include shopping, cooking, cleaning, and participating in leisure activities. You will also be responsible for social documentation, advocacy assignments, and medication management according to delegation.

Our working method is low-arousal and structured, focusing on strengthening individual independence.

Working hours are full-time, totaling 37 hours per week, scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

The position is a 6-month temporary contract.

Requirements

• Ability to take and follow delegated healthcare tasks.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills.
• Empathetic and flexible.
• Responsible and independent.
• Good collaboration skills and a positive attitude.
• Comfortable handling demanding situations such as challenging behavior.

Meritorious

• You have completed a care program and are a nursing assistant/support assistant or have another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience working with individuals with mental or neuropsychiatric disabilities.
• Driver's license (B).
• Experience with low-arousal approaches, AAC, and clear pedagogical methods.
• Experience with TimeCare, Treserva, and/or the BPSD registry.

Co-planning

The municipality of Härryda is working to increase basic staffing and reduce the need for temporary employment. Co-planning means that you have a home unit but may also work shifts at other units within the municipality as needed. The aim is to ensure continuity and safe care for users while providing you as an employee with variety, broader experience, and opportunities for professional development. An introduction will be provided to ensure your comfort.
