Method Supervisor for Family Resource Youth in the Center
Are you looking for a position where you can develop, share your knowledge, and provide methodological guidance to a newly established team of engaged and knowledgeable family therapists? We are growing rapidly, and we are now looking for a method supervisor for Family Resource Youth in the Center.
You will lead and support a team of 5 family therapists working with family treatment interventions for the target group aged 11-18 years. The group may expand.
Our therapists work with family treatment interventions that are needs-assessed according to the Social Services Act, as well as non-needs-assessed interventions within the framework of the new Social Services Act. Together with parents, clients, and partners, we always strive to keep the child in focus.
Responsibilities
In the role of method supervisor, your main task will be to lead and distribute work within the team, provide support and guidance in daily work, both individually and in groups, receive and distribute cases, and follow up and evaluate the unit's ongoing assignments. Participating in ensuring that documentation and follow-up are conducted in a qualitative and legally secure manner is also part of the assignment.
Furthermore, you will ensure that the work in the unit is conducted based on current knowledge, proven experience, and good quality. As a method supervisor, you will be responsible for method development, creating routines, and functioning processes in daily work. Together with employees, unit managers, method supervisors, and business developers, you will be responsible for developing work methods, methods, follow-up, and documentation. A significant part of the work will also involve conducting development work in the unit based on the new Social Services Act.
You will be part of a small management group consisting of five other method supervisors from our two units in the center and two unit managers. We meet regularly for a common vision, stance, and collaboration. You will also be part of Gothenburg City's method supervisor network and will be offered external process supervision.
The operation is part of the Children and Youth department, and we actively work on implementing Signs of Safety in all our units.
We document our assignments in the IT system Treserva.
Family Resource is located in brand new premises on Storgatan in central Gothenburg, right between Heden and Kungsportsavenyn. At our office on Storgatan, we are a total of 140 employees, all working with children, youth, and families. A fantastic opportunity to work in a unified manner for those we serve.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has equivalent education as assessed by the employer. You have several years of experience working with family treatment. It is highly meritorious if you have supervisor training and experience in method development. If you also have experience supervising and/or managing others in your work, we consider that an advantage. We also see it as an advantage if you have prior experience working within child and youth authorities.
As a method supervisor, you will be a key player in the startup phase of our new team. Therefore, we see it as an advantage if you have previous experience in the startup phase of new operations or teams and have actively participated in this work.
We would also like you to have experience and knowledge of the documentation system Treserva.
To succeed in this role, it is important that you can work independently while also being a team player. You are humble and attentive to the needs of others, and you have a good ability to lead others in a clear, open, communicative, and inspiring manner. You can engage employees, both individually and in groups, and you can influence others in a certain direction when necessary. You enjoy collaborating with different parties in a constructive manner and are good at handling complex situations. Through persuasive arguments, you can bring enthusiasm and energy that encourages good performance, team spirit, and increased motivation.
You have balance, courage, and the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment when required. In your professional role, you are secure, present, and focused on finding resources and solutions. To succeed as a method supervisor, you need to have good analytical skills, allowing you to see the operation from a holistic perspective, with the core assignment in focus.
As previously mentioned, you will drive the unit's development work based on the new Social Services Act and be a key player in the startup phase of our new team. Therefore, you need to be both flexible and development-oriented. You will bring new ideas and take the initiative for improvements. You actively monitor developments in your professional field and regularly reflect on what needs to be developed in your operation.
