Registrar at Boverket
Boverket is the national authority for planning, construction, and housing. We aim to contribute to a sustainable society with good housing in viable environments. The focus is on issues related to the built environment, management of land and water areas, physical planning, construction, and management of buildings, housing, and housing finance. Since July 2025, Boverket is also the preparedness authority within the preparedness sector for industry, construction, and trade.
Boverket has its headquarters located in Karlskrona, with a smaller office in Malmö. Today, about 240 people work at the agency, including architects, civil engineers, economists, lawyers, communicators, planners, and social scientists.
Your Role with Us
We are looking for an experienced registrar for our unit for service and information management at Boverket in Karlskrona. The unit is one of five in the department for operational support, led by a department head. The unit includes registration, archives, administrative support, service center, legal affairs, and reception. An important challenge for the unit is the opportunities of digitization within administration, with a focus on development work regarding electronic preservation of documents. Another challenge is the work with the agency's security issues and maintaining essential operations during crises, preparedness, and war.
As a registrar at Boverket, your main tasks will be to manage the agency's public documents, register incoming and outgoing matters, and ensure compliance with the principle of public access. The role involves registering, classifying, and archiving documents in our document and case management system Platina, as well as handling confidentiality assessments when disclosing public documents. The work also includes, for example:
- providing advice and guidance on registration and document management to the entire Boverket,
- quality assuring and developing registration in Platina and the archive,
- working with whistleblower functions,
- communicating with both internal and external stakeholders via phone, chat, and email,
- supporting various projects or working groups within registration/archiving and providing training as needed.
Your Competence Profile
We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a registrar with good knowledge of the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Archives Act, and the Administrative Procedure Act. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of handling public documents and experience working in digital document and case management systems as well as the Office suite. You are a good communicator and have the ability to express yourself clearly and pedagogically in both spoken and written form, in Swedish and English. You have a post-secondary education in archival and information science, or an equivalent registrar training or knowledge that Boverket deems comparable.
It is advantageous if you have experience in registration within public sector operations and have worked with the document and case management system Platina. It is valuable if you have knowledge of archival issues and have worked with handling security-classified documents.

You are flexible and used to working in a team as well as independently and creating good relationships both internally and externally. In the role, you will have close cooperation with your colleagues and be a support for the entire organization, and we expect you to have good collaboration skills. The Employment
This position is classified in a security class, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement for employment. A security review will be conducted in accordance with applicable security protection legislation before a decision on employment.
The position is a permanent employment at the headquarters in Karlskrona with a start date according to agreement. The work schedule follows the agency's requirement for opening hours and may include work on so-called bridge days.
