As a nursing assistant with us, you will work closely with patients and with various practical aspects of the care process. Your tasks may include:

• Sampling and handling of samples as well as other examinations within the nursing assistant's area of competence such as EKG examinations, blood pressure measurements, including 24-hour measurements, spirometry. Additional tasks may include dressings, assisting in examinations and minor surgeries, telephone contacts, booking and calling patients, as well as being responsible for waiting lists and ordering and replenishing materials.

The work is varied and gives you the opportunity to use and develop a broad competence.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Trained nursing assistant through the Health and Care Program or the vocational package Health and Care (adult education)
• Certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within health and care.

Meritorious:

• Diploma from the Health and Care College
• Program specialization in Emergency Care and Medicine 2 (for those who have completed the previous Health and Care Program)
• Experience from primary care or health and medical care.
• Experience in reception work as a nursing assistant
• Basic training in Cosmic

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and has a good ability to take initiative and plan their work. You are confident in stressful situations and meet both patients and colleagues in a respectful and professional manner. You can quickly adapt to changing conditions. We place great importance on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.

Information about the Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/skyddad-yrkestitel-for-underskoterska/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within health and care.

You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in health and care, but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected job title to use the title nursing assistant.
