Support Assistant for Solhöjden Group Home

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, you provide support to users within LSS with special needs.

We are looking for someone with knowledge, commitment, and interest in working in a group home for individuals with varying disabilities.

In our group home, individuals who need support in their daily lives reside. Our work focuses on strengthening individual resources, promoting independence, and offering individually tailored support. This may involve:

• motivating activities and social interaction
• supporting sound decision-making
• encouraging a healthy lifestyle (Health Matters)
• creating structure and security in daily life

You will also work with care tasks and healthcare duties delegated by a nurse. In your role, you will establish implementation plans and social documentation in our operational system Combine, as well as contribute to maintaining good quality in the operation.

You will closely collaborate with other support assistants and support pedagogues in the unit and other important people around the user. By contributing your knowledge and experience, you will also participate in the development of the unit's operations. The user's needs are central, and their views should be actively considered. The user should receive support in their right to make decisions about their life and develop their abilities to live as independently as possible.

Collaboration with relatives and representatives is part of the assignment, as you have extra responsibility as a contact/support for one of the residents. As support, you will work closely with colleagues and management. Working hours are based on the user's needs, and weekend work is included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Care assistant, child and leisure education, or equivalent education deemed comparable by the employer is a formal qualification. We are looking for someone with a pedagogical approach, with values and quality that promote our users.

If you have experience with autism and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities, have worked with conversation support within AAC, or with clarifying structures, it is an advantage. Valuable qualities include responsiveness, good interaction, alliance-building, and initiative.

When filling the position, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
