Labor Market Coordinator for Mullsjö Municipality

Mullsjö Municipality is small in size but offers great quality of life. Here you will find an active outdoor life with fish-rich lakes, scenic views, and miles of hiking and cycling trails. Unique industrial environments, churches, art, and theater, combined with an active business and community life, create a vibrant and growing municipality. In Mullsjö Municipality, we work closely together to succeed based on three focus areas: Safety, Togetherness, and Growth.

Join us in building Mullsjö Municipality's new education and labor market activities!

Do you want to work closely with both people and employers and contribute to providing more opportunities for employment? Mullsjö Municipality is now seeking a labor market coordinator who wants to help develop our new education and labor market activities.

In the spring of 2026, the municipality will launch a new initiative that brings together adult education, financial assistance, integration, and the labor market unit. The goal is to guide, educate, and coach residents towards employment or studies and strengthen their path to self-sufficiency.

In this role, you will play a central part in supporting individuals who are far from the labor market and in developing collaborations with local employers, associations, and other stakeholders. Internship opportunities and labor market policy employment will be created and followed up within both the business sector and municipal operations.

The operation also includes the Service Group in Mullsjö, which performs municipal tasks such as property services, land maintenance, cleaning, laundry, and vehicle maintenance. Here, work preparation tasks are combined with labor market policy employment.

Training will also be provided in labor market knowledge and various vocational tracks in close collaboration with educational providers and employers. The operation also encompasses the municipality's activity responsibility for youth, adult education, and the reception and settlement of newcomers.

Together with managers and colleagues, you will contribute to developing and driving the operation forward. The work is characterized by collaboration, participation, and a strong belief in individuals' own abilities.

We are looking for someone with drive and commitment who wants to contribute to development and improvement in our public mission.

Warm welcome with your application!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with managers and colleagues, you will be responsible for the establishment and implementation of a completely new operation aimed at adults who are far from the labor market. This primarily concerns youth, foreign-born individuals, or people who, for various reasons, are distanced from the labor market due to challenges related to health and life situation.

You will lead a group of about 15 people who have no or very little work experience. Many have language difficulties, and often there is some form of health issue in the background. The most important thing here is not deadlines and high work pace. Instead, the focus should be on well-being, community, good communication, and development. Mullsjö Municipality has planned to clearly delineate work areas within vehicle maintenance, property services, land maintenance, and cleaning, among others, that the Service Group will perform. The operation will include opportunities for work training, and all these employees will be entitled to some form of employment support.

Your primary objective is to enable these employees to discover and develop their skills, allowing them to move on to a regular position within the municipality or to employment outside the municipal operations. Initially, you will work on inventorying and starting possible assignments. At the same time, you will also be given time to interview and map potential candidates to be employed in the Service Group.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree from a university, likely in social work, behavioral science, or another post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent. You may also have many years of work experience as a supervisor in the areas that the Service Group will perform, with documented good leadership qualities, which the employer assesses to compensate for university education.
  • Very good knowledge of work environment and personnel issues.
  • Your organizational skills are strong, and you are somewhat technically skilled, not hesitating to roll up your sleeves to instruct how a practical task can be performed.
  • You have experience leading, coordinating, and implementing practical assignments.
  • You are good at motivating others and enjoy working in service, have a big heart, and are passionate about helping others. Your patience is great.
  • Your willingness to change is high, and you have no problem understanding other operations or building operations that have not previously existed, where you primarily set the framework yourself.
  • You express yourself well in Swedish without hindrance.
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite.
  • Driver's license B.
  • Previous experience in similar positions with personnel and work environment responsibilities is highly meritorious, as is any form of leadership training.
  • We place great importance on personal suitability.
