Family Law Officer at Kristinehamn Municipality
We are looking for someone who wants to help create a sustainable, efficient, and well-functioning social services with the user in focus.
The Family Law unit is located within the Navigator Center, which is the administration's entry point. In addition to Family Law, the Navigator Center includes a government reception that handles incoming reports and applications, alcohol caseworkers, reception staff, and budget and debt advisors. The Family Law unit consists of three employees, one of whom has special coordination responsibility for the group. The workgroup is well-knit, with a high ceiling, close to laughter, and with solid experience in both family law and social child and youth care.
The unit belongs to the Department of Work, Competence, and Welfare in Kristinehamn Municipality. The core mission of the administration is to provide support and assistance so that people can become self-sufficient and live an independent life, to provide support, help, and service to children, youth, and adults through investigations and interventions, and to work for adult learning. Within the administration, there are areas of operation including individual and family care, labor market, integration, and adult education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the Family Law team, you will work closely with your colleagues. The responsibilities of Family Law include:
- conducting and writing opinions and investigations in custody, residence, and visitation cases on behalf of the court
- investigating and following up on adoptions, both national and international
- investigating paternity and parentage
- conducting mediation sessions with parents who need support to agree on family law issues regarding shared children
- establishing agreements on custody, residence, and visitation at the request of separated parents
- conducting investigations regarding custody transfers
- holding informational meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying have a degree in social work and experience in family law and/or social child and youth care. To fit into the team, it is important that you have a good ability to work independently and to plan and take responsibility for your tasks. You need to be meticulous and have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
You should also have a particular interest in the legal aspects that come with family law work and be comfortable handling conflict-ridden situations that separated parents may find themselves in.
You should have the ability to collaborate so that everyone can contribute ideas, knowledge, and experience. You have a professional approach and contribute to a positive and healthy work environment, participating in the development of both your own and the organization's competence.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Travel is required in the position, so a valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
