We are now looking for a habilitation assistant for our short-term accommodation Björnen.

The short-term service exists to provide children and young people with disabilities a stimulating environment where they can experience a change of scenery, community, and activities based on their needs and interests. At the same time, the service is an important support and relief for their relatives.

Responsibilities

As a habilitation assistant, you work closely with children and youth and support them in their daily lives during their stay at the short-term accommodation. You guide and support based on each individual's needs, interests, and functional level.

You contribute to creating a safe, structured, and developing environment where children have the opportunity for both activities, play, and rest.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Supporting children and youth in everyday situations and care
• Planning and implementing activities
• Documenting in the operational system
• Establishing and following up on implementation plans
• Maintaining close cooperation and dialogue with guardians

The work is done both independently and together with colleagues in a team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant education or experience in functional support, preferably with a focus on children and youth
• Experience with low-arousal responses
• Knowledge in communication support
• Knowledge of NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities)

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working in short-term services for children within LSS
• Experience in care-related work
• Experience with tube feeding

As a person, you are secure, engaged, and positive. You have a pedagogical approach and a good ability to meet children and youth based on their individual needs.

You are flexible, collaborate well with others, and contribute to a good working climate in the group. At the same time, you can take responsibility and work independently when the situation requires it.
