The role of support assistant with us

As a support assistant, you will be an important part of an engaged team. Your mission is to provide support in daily life, strengthen independence, and create conditions for a meaningful and inclusive existence for our residents. The work is varied and includes both care, social support, and collaboration with other professionals. We do not have challenging behaviors in our operations, and our approach is based on low-arousal responses. We work according to IBIC, where each tenant has individual plans and routines.

Your role includes participating in activities with the residents, such as walks and shopping. Medication management and documentation are natural parts of the work.

Your profile

As a person, you are responsible, structured, and self-driven, and can plan and organize your work based on the needs of the operation. You communicate clearly, follow common routines, and meet others in a responsive and respectful manner. You have good judgment and are solution-focused. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a high school education with a focus on care, children and leisure, or another equivalent education relevant to the target group.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in individual goal work
• Experience with documentation

Skördevägen is a residence with special services for adults with varying disabilities. The residence consists of eight apartments and two satellite apartments. It is located in a quiet residential area just outside Kungsbacka center with good public transport connections.

The operation is the result of a merger of two group homes with a traditional target group and a residence with a psychiatric focus. By opening up between the units, we have created a whole where both residents and staff meet across previous boundaries.

All staff work across the entire operation, creating flexibility, increased understanding, and a shared sense of responsibility. We work from a holistic perspective where inclusion, respect, and the individual's own abilities are in focus. Our work is characterized by collaboration and continuous learning – always with the individual's needs and quality of life as our compass.

Our offer and additional information

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement.

The work is scheduled with shifts during the day, evening, and every other weekend. We apply resource time.

Within the Department for Individual & Family Care, all employees within Housing with Special Services and Support at Home are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce their desired working hours based on the needs of the operation.
