About us

Varberg Youth Home operates a small HVB home just outside Varberg with space for five young people aged 15-20. We work closely with the youth in their daily lives and offer a safe, structured, and relationally grounded environment, which places high demands on responsibility, independence, and good collaboration skills.

We have framework agreements with the city of Gothenburg and surrounding municipalities, Skåne, Kronoberg, and Halland.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant education (e.g. social worker, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or equivalent education).
• Has experience working with children and young people in vulnerable situations.
• Is secure in themselves, has good self-awareness, and can remain stable in pressured situations.
• Has good documentation and communication skills.
• Is prepared to work shifts and be on call as needed.
• Has a valid driver's license (B).
• Can provide a police record extract for HVB staff.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience from HVB homes or similar environments.
• Knowledge of NPF, trauma, and low-arousal approaches.
• Experience of independent work within smaller teams.
